FNOL Claims Handler

Halifax, West Yorkshire
£13,500 - £16,000 p/a DoE

We’re on the hunt for people with a passion for customer service to join our rapidly expanding team in West Yorkshire. If you are a self-motivated people person with a positive attitude who loves going the extra mile to help people out, we need you!

You’ll be the claimant’s first point of contact with Total Claims Solutions, so excellent communication skills and attention to detail is essential. This is a full-time role, and full training will be provided.

Key Skills/Attributes Required:
  • Minimum GCSE-level qualifications
  • Customer service experience (any industry), including experience of working closely with customers/the public
  • Organised with the ability to multi-task
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office programmes as a minimum)
  • A positive team player with
  • Flexible with hours and shift patterns
  • Able to work a maximum of 2 Saturdays per month (with full day off given in the week/can be flexible)
Advantageous:
  • Some experience in a call centre - ideally insurance, claims, motor, legal or similar
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Target driven
  • Keen to learn new systems
  • Pro-active - constantly looking for solutions

Are you an experienced insurance claims professional seeking an employment opportunity where you can actively contribute towards to the success of the business you work for?

A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated claims professional to join a claims department for a newly established organisation and play a key role in its future success

The role will see you effectively handle a portfolio of primarily motor claim and vehicle repairs and account management of external third party relationships through to settlement and in accordance with specific company guidelines and procedures. You will be responsible for liaising with clients in accordance with individual requirements to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims, whilst also optimising opportunities and develop relationships across the business to improve customer experience.

Based at the organisations offices in Halifax, the premises boasts onsite parking, as well as excellent transport links and a broad range of useful amenities in close proximity.

Key Skills/Attributes Required:
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, inspire trust and confidence and maintain customer service of the highest standard at all times
  • One year or more experience of working in an insurance or legal environment handling motor claims and vehicle repairs
  • Quick learner - comfortable using new software and adhering closely to company guidelines
  • IT Literate (Microsoft Office programmes as a minimum)
  • Goal-driven, with a positive attitude and methodical approach to challenges
  • Self-motivated with the desire to gain personal development and potentially progression
